Digital TV Changeover In MK Area - Date 30th March 2011
DIGITAL TV CHANGEOVER TASK FORCE

Excuse us for mentioning it again but we have a horrible feeling there are going to be a lot of people out there in the Anglia TV region who wake up on Wednesday 30 March to find their TV isn’t working in quite the same way as usual. That’s because the digital switchover is coming to a transmitter near you.
The experience won’t be the same for every viewer, however; it all depends on how you receive your TV signal. For instance, some viewers don’t need to panic as they won’t be affected in any way. This applies if you use:
- Sky for all TVs in the house
- Freesat from Sky
- Freesat for all TVs in the house
However, you will need to re-tune your equipment to pick up the new signals if you watch your TV through:
- Freeview
- BT Vision
- Top Up TV
If your signal comes via the Sandy Heath or Luton transmitters you need to set the alarm clock for an early start as the change happens at 6am; viewers on the DallingtonParkand Kimpton transmitters can have a short lie-in as they change over in the middle of the morning.
(By the way, you will need to re-set your alarm on Wednesday 13 April and repeat the re-tuning process for the final analogue shut-down.)
For those who have been putting off the change to digital TV, you will notice an immediate difference as you lose BBC2. So goodbye to Eggheads and Top Gear. And on 13 April you will lose all signals as the analogue transmitters are switched off for ever.
But help is at hand! We can still fit a Freesat, Freeview or Sky digital receiver system before the end of March, ensuring that your experience of the change-over is enjoyable and hassle-free. Obviously the sooner you call, the easier it will be to arrange a time that is convenient for you but we will be working hard up to the last minute to make sure you don’t wake up to a blank TV screen.
Of course, there are bound to be some people who never quite get around to it before D-Day or haven’t realised that the change-over is happening at all (where have they been hiding for the past two years?).
That’s why we have established a digital changeover task force with engineers stationed around Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas on Wednesday 30 March, just waiting to help. If your neighbour, friend or relative complains that they haven’t got a TV signal just suggest they call 0800 298 9368 for an over the phone free quote and appointment booking service.
As far as we know, we are the only digital TV installers in this region who are planning to mobilise a task force for the switchover. And - there will be no extra charges for the service. Customers will receive our the normal high quality, professional service at the same prices we charge for planned installations.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding the switchover please call us on 0800 298 9368 and we will be delighted to help you.
Standard analogue TV will be switched off and only Digital TV will be available. Digital TV needs quality signals using quality aerials.
Book an early aerial installation to avoid the rush and disappointment.
